Valentino and Gap? Unlikely Duo Teams up.

by Sabrina Maddeaux on Sep 9th, 2010 in News

Just in- the House of Valentino and Gap announce the latest in big collaborations between luxury and commerical fashion labels. The news follows on the tail of last week’s excitement over Lanvin/H&M.

The capsule collection will celebrate Gap’s arrival in Italy. Valentino’s designers say the collection will be inspired by “iconic Gap basics.” Although no official word on pricing yet, the pieces will likely fall in line with the regular Gap pricing model.

The fantastic duo’s collection will launch in November 2010, coinciding with the opening of Gap’s new flagship store in Milan. The collection will also be sold at other European locations, including Gap’s London, Dover Street, Rome, and Collette (Paris) stores. Unfortunately, there no plans to release in North America yet.

I’m still loving this season’s trend of bringing big fashion back to the public and emphasizing affordability! This way, customers get the best of both worlds!

The way things are going, I wouldn’t be surprised to see at least a couple more collaboration announcements in the near future. So this begs the question, who would you like to see team up?
