The Cutting Edge of Style: Cynthia Rowley’s Designer Band-Aids

by Sabrina Maddeaux on Sep 10th, 2010 in News, Product Reviews

We’ve seen designers branch out into all sorts of markets from the traditional clothing/accessories/shoes focus. However, this particular venture by Cynthia Rowley is something I haven’t seen, or even thought of, before. She’s gone and made true designer Band-Aids for dressing up boo-boos in style.

The limited edition Band-Aid collection boasts fourteen different designs and comes in equally fancy limited edition containers. They sell for $10 a box, with one dollar from each tin going to Design Ignites Change, an organization that engages high school and college students in design and architecture projects that address social issues in their own communities.

I think this is pretty cool and love that it benefits a great cause! It’s nice to know there are other options out there than just the traditional tan color and designs with cartoons from my childhood. Cynthia Rowley’s collection is a grown-up, sophisticated way to inject some fun into the ugly task of healing cuts and scrapes.

Cynthia Rowley’s designer Band-Aids can be purchased at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum (NYC), any Cynthia Rowley store, or online at .
