Marc Jacobs S/S 2011 Review: Spring Can’t Come Soon Enough!

by Sabrina Maddeaux on Sep 14th, 2010 in Shows

Last night Marc Jacobs released his Spring/Summer 2011 Ready-to-Wear collection on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week. I’m in love.

This Fall/Winter season is all about minimalism and neutral shades. Classic, but lacking a little life. Marc Jacobs’ new collection is the cure for these winter blues; his S/S brings back the Seventies with big floppy hats, flowing dresses and wide-leg pants, oversized flower corsages, frizzy hair, and jumpsuits. Bright, warm colors dominate with gold, pink, coral, mauve, and copper tones taking the spotlight. The presence of shiny silk pieces add to the fun and free style.

After a long winter, Marc Jacobs’ latest collection is exactly what we’ll be pining for come Spring!
